Having an Attitude of Gratitude in today’s world is like having fresh clean water to drink.  We all need fresh clean water to keep our bodies healthy, active, and alive.  Having a positive attitude will offer us the same benefits if we practice being grateful.  I’m not talking about being grateful and happy when things are going well in your life.  I’m referring to the times when you struggle, when you lose a loved one, when you wonder if you have any purpose at all.  We all have these moments, but if you begin to practice finding something to be grateful about each and everyday, it opens the door to get through the challenging times with much more ease.  It makes you begin to realize that there may be a reason for a difficult time, and the struggle is teaching you something that will help you grow as a person.

Having an attitude of gratitude is like a habit… Once you start, you can’t stop!  You begin to find the positive in every situation you encounter.  You begin to be happy and peaceful.  You look at life differently, and in defeat, you realize something greater is around the corner.   Do you know that when you’re negative, you send out a signal to others with your voice, body language, and your entire being?  Have you ever met someone for the first time, and all they did was complain?  Those people drain the life right out of you.  On the other hand, if you encounter someone who is positive and optimistic, the response is quite different.  You’re immediately drawn to the person, and want to spend time with them.  They are a bright light shining vibrant color, happiness, and peace into others…

Favorite Quote:  Optimism is the cheerful frame of mind that enables a teakettle to sing, though in hot water up to its nose.  A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his/her opportunities; an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.  Reginald B. Mansell
