What does it mean to blossom in any environment?  Let’s face it, we live in a cruel world right now, and hear all the terrible things happening on a daily basis.  We hear it on the news, we read it in the newspapers, we see it everyday on social media.  What would our world be like, if instead of focusing on all this “bad” stuff,  we looked inside ourselves instead?

Looking inside ourselves helps one blossom in any environment.  It helps one stay peaceful during these troubling times, comforts us in knowing that when we breathe in and out, we can let go of our anxiety to allow those internal beams of light to shine on the inside instead.

When you go inward, you begin to see the world differently just as this pansy flower that is showing its blossoms in my front landscape right now.  The reason this is symbolic is because I did not plant them.  This summer, I had pansies on my front porch and enjoyed their beauty all summer long.  To think they reseeded without being planted, took root to grow in the rocks and landscape coverings is amazing.  They grew and blossomed to show their beauty, softness, and color in the rocks.

The biggest blessing of these happenings yesterday was spending time with a dear friend.  We walked the path behind my house and enjoyed nature in the warmer temps.  As she looked around at everything that was new to her eyes, she wanted to walk off the path!  I was surprised, but as a child loved to walk along our creek and just explore as a little kid.  I followed her, she followed me, and we discovered that in that moment we were both little girls wondering through the trees looking at nature and all its beauty.

We saw huge mushrooms, wildlife, and even a little snake.  My friend talked to the snake like it was a bunny.  Upon returning to the house, we talked a little more in the bright sunshine, and that’s when my friend noticed these flowers.  I did not even see them growing, and after looking up the symbol for the pansy believe it is a symbol of our friendship.  I admire her so much, and I’m so grateful she is a dear friend of mine.  She is a blossom of hope, light and love!   Remind yourself from time to time to reflect on the inside, and always enjoy the signs on the outside.  Friends are like flowers:  They bring color to your life, they soften your troubles, and they hold beauty that is everlasting.  I have been blessed to have deep rooted friends that remind me of flowers–thanks to you all…
