Have you been looking for something in particular in your life?  Have you found it yet?  Well, I’ve been looking for several years for something created by nature and finally discovered it!  I’ve looked multiple times on the sandy beaches of CA with my husband…as we walked along the ocean and listened to the waves crash on the beach, I searched and searched.  I even recruited my husband to help me search…with each and every step in the sand, we made our footprints to search for this rock that is shaped like a heart.  Passionate in my pursuit to find this rock, I was disappointed that we did not find it with our many trips to California.  Disappointment led to finding the rock on the back burner, or in the back of my mind for quite some time.

As with anything that passion is apart of, my desire to find this rock kept resurfacing.  I’m not sure why this was so important for me to find, nor why I even had the passion to continue to want a heart shaped rock formed by mother nature.  What’s the big deal?  It’s just a rock, right?  I guess it is, but the thing that makes this rock special is how rare and unique it is to be formed with love…a heart.  A heart that sparkles when it is loved, a heart that beams with a smile when compassion is felt, a heart that shines on the darkest days, a heart that forgives just because it can still forgive, a heart that shares someone’s joy, a heart that aches when someone is hurting, and a heart that beats as ONE!

The story would’ve been more interesting if I found the rock on the sunny, sandy, california beaches with my husband at the moment I was looking for it.  Instead, I found the rock as I walked the Saylorville path with my best friend.  We have walked this pathway for so many years that I’ve forgotten how many it has been.  We’ve shared our lives with one another, we’ve shared our ups and downs, our excitement, our dreams, but most importantly, ourselves in a deep friendship that I believe only happens once in a lifetime.  How fitting to find the rock when I wasn’t even looking for it, and with someone very special to me!  My friend and I were walking and talking looking for birds and wildlife like we always do, and I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the rock.  I was so excited when I found the rock I could barely contain myself.  I shared with my friend that I’ve been looking for this rock for years!  The law of attraction is real, and you can attract things in your life by the way you think.  Think positive, grateful thoughts, and add a prayerful heart in the recipe.  Before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to attracting what you want in your life…and so much more.  I’ve added a little sparkle to my heart with glitter clear fingernail polish.  This makes it shimmer and shine, and I will display it in my office with a few other forever keepsakes.
