We all experience the depths of our human raw emotions as we travel down the road of life and death. To the depths of sadness… Our family just experienced the depths of sadness with the unexpected loss of a young family member. One goes through different stages when dealing with uncertainty. Upon first hearing of my brother in law being hospitalized, we thought his first 2 weeks in the hospital weren’t anything to be concerned about. Although we prayed and reached out to our close prayer friends, it became more concerning as the days went by. It was time to go to the depths of prayer and hope where we reach out to our church prayer chain, and request as many prayers as possible! As another day passes with bad news, I progress to the depths of a miracle wanting to happen. In my prayers, I never gave up until I heard of his passing.
Upon hearing of his passing my heart explodes with pain for my husband and his family. How could someone so young be taken while his life was just getting started? I progress to the depths of separation…we just saw him and his wife 4 weeks ago, and spent time in their home! We witnessed how happy they were expecting their first born child, and they seemed to have life and love all figured out. His wife beamed of love for her husband, and she couldn’t say enough wonderful things about him. It is now time to go to the depths of strength for my husband losing his little brother. Being in shock and disbelief it is hard to find strength during these times. One wants it to be a bad dream where you wake up and it didn’t happen. I reach out to family members and friends and thank them for the prayers as they, along with God, are our strength during times like this. In the end, it’s the depth of our hearts, love, and knowing that our loved one is in the depths of eternity. May you forever rest in peace, Alex.
A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
Our hearts almost broke with your statement. So sorry for John and you and all family members included. God be with you!!!!!!
Thank you for the support and prayers!
